CapeTown Fish Market Lonehill

Last night Shez and I took advantage of the 1/2 price sushi at CapeTown Fish Market.

We sat at the sushi conveyor belt and took our time trying out some interesting combinations.

One of the sushi chefs gave us great service in front of us. Her name is Fortunate.

We ate until full and the combined bill came to R242 including drinks and tip.

The Classic India, Cedar Square

This evening Shez & I are eating out at the Classic India restaurant.
As this is our first time here we have ordered a lamb korma and Chicken Tikka to play it safe.

Lamb Corma

Chicken Tika

Lime Milkshake

Verdict :

  • Service was professional and friendly when we arrived. A little slow in getting the bill in the end.
  • We ordered a medium Tikka and mild Korma. Both were great and worth having again. Perhaps we would make the Tikka mild next time.
  • The Korma was not as sweet as the one we've had at Vikrams. But we prefer that.
  • Pleasant ambiance and worth taking time to relax at the table.
  • Total bill including tip, R240

Andiccio24

Decided we wanted pizza tonight but as a take away. Andiccio24 Paulshof or Douglasdale don't deliver to where we stay unfortunately so we resorted to a 7km drive to order and fetch the pizza.
I built up my pizza on a margarita base topped with Peppadews & sweet chili chicken.
Shez had the same base with salami and caramelized onions.
They were crazy busy as usual on a Saturday night so we sat down to have a delicious white hot chocolate drink.
I'll go back for that alone.

Verdict :

  • The bases weren't very crispy as we  prefer and have had in the past.
  • I should have added something else to mine like feta or avo.
  • I suggest calling ahead with an order in mind or you will wait an hour for your order.
  • Next time Col'Caccios for a pizza.

C Bali St Michaels

For a number of months Shez and I have been promising to write a note about every meal we have had at each restaurant we eat out at. Whenever we return with the faint remembrance that the food was good we forget what we had and wish we had a record of the good bad and absolutely heavenly cuisine we had.
Tonight we are at C Bali in St Michaels of the Kwazulu Natal south coast.

I have just ordered the Red Thai & Peanut Beef Curry.
My brother ordered Fish of the day and Shez had the Cheese schnitzel with prawns.

A authentic spicy Thai curry made with succulent strips of beef fillet served with basmati rice.

Succulent fresh fish line fish draped in avo sauce (seasonal) and drizzled with zesty lemon pepper butter sauce, Plain grilled or blackened

Tender chicken schnitzel topped with a cheesy sauce and 4 medium prawns

Verdict:
  • Service was average.
  • Setting and ambiance was relaxing and chilled by the sea.
  • They could probably add a bit more to the Bali docor theme.
  • The restaurant was pretty noisy and loud inside.
